Olex can tailor cable designs to meet specific performance requirements. We can offer complete design and supply of high voltage (HV) and extra high voltage (EHV) cable systems up to 275kV.
We have a wealth of experience in design of cables for particularly difficult installations such as bridges where expansion/contraction and vibration are issues, vertical, and tunnel installations. We have a range of specifically developed software packages to assist us in the rapid generation of electrical performance data, therefore allowing evaluation of the best cable for a given set of installation conditions.

Cable Accessories
Olex sources all its cable accessories from proven world class suppliers. All accessories are tested in our EHV Laboratory in Tottenham – the largest facility of its kind in the region. All cable accessories and services supplied by Olex are warranted when work is carried our either by Olex, or under Olex’s supervision, and as both the cable and the accessories are pre-tested, system performance is assured. Where users wish to nominate their own choice of accessories, we recommend that only accessories proven to be compatible with our cables be used.

Graeme Barnewall, Engineering Manager: Graeme is the Engineering Manager for High Voltage Cable and Systems Designs. He has over 25 years experience in the cable industry with particular experience in Extra High Voltage cable and systems.
