High Voltage

Much of the high voltage XLPE cable manufacturing is carried out at the Melbourne factory location in Tottenham. The 26 hectare (65 acre) site has a sophisticated research and development facility and the expertise to manufacture cables that are at the leading edge of world technology.

Extra High Voltage

Olex is Australia’s only manufacturer of Extra High Voltage (EHV) cables rated for 66kV and above. A dedicated state of the art manufacturing facility in Tottenham, Australia enables Olex to produce cables to 275kV.

Olex commenced manufacture of EHV XLPE cables in the mid 1980’S. Since that time we have developed the technical resources and skills required to remain a world competitive supplier of such products. Olex has the largest EHV R&D test facility in the Asia-Pacific region and has testing capabilities to 275kV.

Olex manufactures its EHV cables to international standards.
