White Hill

16 Oct 2006

Olex New Zealand recently won the opportunity to supply cable to a new south island windfarm – White Hill.

White Hill is a wind farm currently under construction by Meridian Energy. The wind farm will have 29 wind turbines with a total capacity of approximately 58 megawatts (MW). It is estimated that when operating at full capacity, it will produce enough power to supply approximately 30,000 homes.

The site for White Hill is approximately 14km west of Lumsden and 9km south-east of Mossburn.

Olex will supply medium voltage aluminium 22 kV cables consisting of 3 x 95, 3 x 240 and 1 x 500.
