2008 ESITO Line Mechanic Competition

Olex is once again proud to be associated with this year's ESITO Line Mechanic Competition which will be held from Tuesday 14 October until Thursday 16 October at Lion Park, Mystery Creek, Hamilton.

Olex will supply overhead conductor and earthing cable to the competition.

The ESITO Line Mechanic Competition is a three-day search for New Zealand's top line mechanic team.  Now in its seventh year, this event continues to create a lot of interest and crowd appeal.

The Competitors

Ten teams from eight companies have registered for this year's competition.  Each team includes three registered line mechanics and a trainee on an ESITO Line Mechanic Pathway or equivalent.  Teams include:

  • Northpower Limited - Warkworth
  • Siemens (NZ) Limited - Central
  • Siemens (NZ) Limited - Northern
  • Tenix
  • Waipa Networks

  • The Lines Company
